  • About CI

    • The consonants of the term "Public Interest Activities" in Korean (gong-ik-hwal-dong) are used to show the new possibilities and opportunities discovered by representing each of the actors and the ways they coexist as both darkness and light. Despite having narrow spacing, the characters ‘ㄱ, ㅇ, ㅎ, ㄷ,’ (‘giyuk’, ‘ieung’, ‘hieut’, ‘digeut’) symbolize the support and connection that enables each actor to coexist harmoniously while retaining their unique identities.
    • The Seoul Public Activities Center places no restrictions on the use of its logo.

Our Mascot, Dreaming of being at the forefront of the public interest world

    • Hi there! I’m Gong Ik Hee.
I used to live with my family and friends. But one day, I found myself left alone in Samgakji.
Fortunately, the people at the Center welcomed me warmly so now we live together in Samgakji.
    • I like how diverse people visit the Center.
I heard them gather closely and speak to each other. They are all doing what is called ‘public interest’ work.
I couldn’t just sit and watch. I am here expressing all my affection for Samgakji and public interest action.
    • And I have decided! I will be the most knowledgeable dinosaur in the world of public interest activities!
