Global Technology Cooperation Offices (GT, Global Tech)

Purpose

  • To establish a foundation for international joint R&D and to support domestic institutions’ entry into overseas markets by operating Global Technology Cooperation Offices (GT, Global Tech) in key regions around the world.

Current Status

  • Seven Global Technology Cooperation Offices (GT) are operated in major regions—including the United States, Europe, and ASEAN—to promote global technology cooperation. * GT offices are operated by Korea’s dedicated R&D agencies (KIAT, KEIT, and KORIL-RDF) in the United States (Washington, Silicon Valley, Boston), Europe (Belgium, Germany, Israel), and ASEAN (Hanoi).

Key Functions

  • Building and expanding international cooperation networks, collecting and disseminating global technology trend information, matchmaking, supporting participation in international joint R&D
